The hillside near the pool area was landscaped on October 5 and as usual it was a harder job than perhaps some of us anticipated. Regardless, results look great. In all there were 35 separate plantings which means that 35 holes were dug in some very uncooperative ground.
The Landscape Committee would like to especially thank Jim O’Brien and Phil Connelly for their outstanding efforts in both site preparation on Friday and all of the planting on Saturday. Mention must also be made that Susan O'Brien, Larry Shephard, and John Mangan volunteered their time and labor on Saturday. Without their efforts this project would have been so much more difficult.
The Landscape Committee also wants to recognize Gia Page and Gig Michaud for their generous donation. Seven of the plants were purchased with money they provided. All of the rest of the plants were donated from yards. To make all of the above possible, the Landscape Committee identified the available plantings, procured most of the plants, established a plan and, of course, helped in all of the planting efforts.
Once again, THANKS TO ALL for their contributions.

********************************************************************************************************** At our Board meeting on the evening of August 13, a community member wondered if there would be interest in forming an activity committee. The committee would organize outings and activities that would be open to all in the neighborhood. If you would be interested in being on such a committee or learning more about the idea, please contact Toni Clark ([email protected]). ********************************************************************************************************** Please be aware of traffic rules in our neighborhood streets. Speed should be 20 MPH maximum, and care should be taken to keep right at all times. It is easy to get a little lax coming around the curves while entering and exiting the community but if you meet another car, it could be calamitous. ******************************************************************************************************* When driving up to the mailboxes to retrieve your mail, please consider turning around in the cul-de-sac before making your stop so that your car is facing out and you are on the right side of the road. Alternatively, you could use one of the designated parking spots. This will make it safer for others to maneuver around the cars arriving, stopping at, and leaving the mailbox area. *********************************************************************************************** If you notice damage to your property that you believe has been caused by the contractor during plowing or lawn mowing, please contact the vendor directly to report your concern. Our vendor for both snowplowing as well as mowing is D&J Landscaping (978-476-3931) Please let the board know about your concern also, so that we are aware of concerns and can watch for patterns or trends. Probably the easiest way to contact the board is by using the “CONTACT US” page (Under the heading “All About the Board”.) Describe your issue and send to all members of the board so that all members are in the loop.
